7mesh Hits the Trails with New and Updated Spring 2022 MTB Clothing
After reviewing their jerseys, shorts and chamois in the past, I can attest that 7mesh of Squamish, BC is a company that values high quality design and construction. For Spring 2022, they released a few new pieces for men and women and updated some of their classic jerseys and shorts. This article covers a selection of their latest pieces, including all-new men’s and women’s cargo tights, a new women’s hoodie, and a windbreaker that clips to your frame.
7mesh shorts for men and women:
the Short glidepath has been part of the 7mesh range since the brand’s debut, and for 2022 it’s seen a few updates. These shorts have always offered a relaxed fit, but are now made from a four-way stretch fabric to ensure full mobility. 7mesh has also added a new ultra-suede hook and ladder waist adjuster, reshaped gusset and tapered leg openings to fit perfectly over knee pads. Storage has been revised, with hand pockets and zipped side pockets on each leg.
The men’s color options are black, thyme, or loam, while the women’s colors for 2022 are black or port. MSRP is $150.
the short slab has been completely updated with a new seamless gusset (which provides full mobility and won’t snag on your saddle), as well as a new hook and ladder waist closure and fly closure. These shorts offer a slim fit, but use four-way stretch fabric held together by ultrasonically sealed seams. Storage is kept to a minimum with a zippered pocket on the right hip.
Men’s colors are black or thyme, and women’s models are available in black or port. The Slab shorts sell for $140.
Sizes of men’s shorts XS to XXL are available, while women’s shorts range from XS to XL.
Men’s and women’s chamois:
New MK3 and WK3 cargo bib tights offer a full coverage option for cooler weather rides. These tights offer plenty of storage on the thighs and back for phones, small tools and snacks. An Elastic Interface Performance Space chamois provides comfort in the saddle, and adjustable hems let you customize leg length for the perfect fit.
On the men’s model, 7mesh’s unique 45mm elastic suspenders replace typical paneled bib tops for minimal torso coverage. The women’s model (pictured above) features 7mesh Pull2P suspenders, so when nature calls, you can drop your pants without removing your top on the side of the trail.
MK3 or WK3 Cargo bib tights are available in black only. Men’s models sell for $250, but women’s models are a bit cheaper at $230.
7mesh is also offering new colors for the MK3 and WK3 bibs and Cargo bibs: men now get a new Thyme color (above), while women get a Port option for 2022.
Men’s chamois sizes range from XS to XXL, and women’s sizes XS to XL are available.
7mesh has updated its Desperado merino wool line with two new styles for men and two new options for women. The brand new Women’s Desperado Merino Hoodie is a year-round essential in cooler weather. Its poly/merino blend provides warmth, durability and a dry feel. This hoodie offers an articulated fit and a low profile hood with no dangling drawstrings. The women’s Desperado hoodie retails for $90 and is available in black or raspberry.
the Women’s Desperado ¾ Merino Shirt offers a little extra arm coverage and features 7mesh’s versatile poly/wool blend. Its articulated body cut provides mobility but doesn’t become baggy when you’re in the riding position. Three colors are available; Black, Shark or Raspberry. MSRP is $70.
Women’s shirts are available in sizes XS to XL.
For men, the original Desperado Henley jersey has been joined by two new models; the Desperado Merino Henley Long Sleeve Top and the Desperado Merino shirt. Offering a relaxed fit, the Henley Long Sleeve features a round crew neck with four buttons to aid ventilation. The Henley Long Sleeve jersey comes in Black or Port colors and retails for $90.
the Desperado merino shirt is a simplified version of the original Henley style, with shorter sleeves and no buttons at the neck. Its body has an articulated fit but offers an overall relaxed fit. The shirt is available in black, cadet blue, port or clay and retails for $70.
Men’s shirt sizes range from XS to XXL.
Last but not least, 7mesh Northwoods Shell offers a unique feature that makes it easy to pack for a ride that starts cool and ends warm; There are frame fixing straps built into the shell so you can throw it away and store it without carrying a backpack or frame/saddle bag. This windbreaker is available in men’s and women’s styles.
The Northwoods Windshell retails for $175. Men’s color options are Cadet Blue, Port or Shadow, with sizes ranging from XS to XXL. Women’s color choices are Port or Yucca, and sizes range from XS to XL.
