Cachengo Closet reopens in McKenzie, providing clothing to those in need

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – A software company seeks to help a local community in West Tennessee.

Cachengo is an artificial intelligence company based in Huntingdon, Tennessee.

He expanded to the town of McKenzie by opening a closet that allows anyone to buy clothes. All closet items are completely free.

Options include men’s and women’s clothing and footwear for all ages and sizes.

Cachengo Closet is responsible for helping more than 700 people do their back-to-school shopping for free.

Already, more than a thousand people have visited the closet and more than 1,100 items of clothing have been distributed.

“We are one hundred percent donation-based,” said Janae Young, COO of Cachengo. “We charge absolutely nothing for what is here. We also work with local agencies to help if there is domestic violence or someone has been through a fire or something, so they have immediate access.

Cachengo Closet is located in McKenzie at 161 Hospital Drive. They recently moved to a new area onsite and will officially reopen on September 28.

You can donate directly at the store or through their pickup service.

The store is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and it is open by appointment only on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It is open to the public on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
