Detroit Streetwear Boutique Two18 Announces Detroit Air Jordans

Two18, a luxury streetwear boutique adjacent to Detroit’s Eastern Market, has been selected by Jordan Brand to launch an exclusive Detroit-themed Air Jordan 2 low-top sneaker and apparel collection. The designer says the collaboration is inspired by the resilience of Detroit. The highly anticipated Detroit launch will take place at Two18,1400 E Fisher Service Drive in Detroit on Friday, October 14, starting at 2:18 p.m. The collection will launch worldwide on October 21.

“The goal was to create a shoe for the streets, to honor Detroit’s ingrained sneaker culture. We also want to appeal to those outside of our borders who love the vibe of the city,” said Roland Coit , owner of Two18. “That’s why the insole graphics also include area towns, shouting out Pontiac, Southfield, Oak Park, Inkster, Highland Park and Flint.”

Air Jordan 2 is Michael Jordan’s second signature model, released in 1986 with a premium luxury design. Since then, the sneaker world has seen it evolve and customize to advance innovative color palettes and style. The Two18 Detroit version continues in this tradition. Sneaker watchers raved about the rich earth tones and luxe materials used throughout the shoe, including nubuck, layered suede, and a croc print.

The shoe will come with matching apparel, including two unisex t-shirts, a men’s hoodie and shorts, and women’s joggers.

The shoe retails for $200 and will be available in Michigan from Two18 on Friday, October 14, 2021. To stay up to date on Two18 and Jordan’s release, follow on Instagram @shoptwo18 or visit online at shoptwo18.com.
