Embe Dress for Success celebrates the opening of a new facility in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) – A renovation project has been completed at Embe. Today, the organization that aims to help women succeed is celebrating.

Women’s programming at EmBe affects hundreds of women each year.

The organization now has a newly renovated space to better serve its customers.

On Wednesday they held an open house to show off the area.

“I just want people to be familiar and comfortable with this space, so when they come here for a date they’re like ‘oh, I came here’ and didn’t look so bad, kinda felt comfortable, so it’s just a better way to start this relationship and this journey,” said Executive Director of Women’s Programming Megan Bartel.

This is the professional development center. There is access to computers, printers and more.

“A space where our coaches can meet with our clients, we can do mock interviews, we can do resumes, and we also want it to be a space where people can hang out,” Bartel said.

The renovated Dress for Success boutique offers customers a true shopping experience.

Katharine Korthase volunteers at EmBe and says the space will help build confidence in those who use it.

“I think it’s exciting to have such a wonderful facility, I think it feels like a boutique, it really gives customers who come in a wonderful opportunity to feel able to shop and get high-end clothes. quality for their next job or interviews or everyday clothes,” said Katharine Korthase, volunteer and member of the women’s leadership.

Helping women take a step closer to success.

The open house is until 7:30 Wednesday evening. Bartel says having the space downtown will hopefully help with accessibility.
