Fancy Nancy’s marks its first year in Grafton as a specialty store

GRAFTON — Fancy Nancy on Main is celebrating the store’s first anniversary with an open house at Grafton.

The store had a soft opening at 307 E. Main St. in Grafton a year ago. Owner and founder Nancy Wilson of Godfrey has operated businesses in Grafton for 17 years.

She opened Jeni J’s Gifts and Guest Houses in 2005, the retail portion offering accessories and clothing lines including Tommy Bahama. Along with the retail store and overnight stays, Wilson was and remained an ambassador for Grafton; she also recently became a Small Business Ambassador through the RiverBend Growth Association.

“We’ve been through a lot with COVID, and we’re excited to share our vision with the community,” Wilson said. “It will just be a fun day for our guests and the community.”

The open house is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, with refreshments, specials, and acoustic flamenco music from guitarist and vocalist Gabby.

The women’s boutique offers clothing, jewelry, gift items, St. Louis Cardinals merchandise, and specialty epicurean items such as jams and dip mixes.
