Hilary Duff Wears Block Heels and Silk Dress for Girls’ Night Out – Footwear News

Hilary Duff took a bohemian take on summer style this week for a girls night out.

The ‘Lizzie McGuire’ star took a mirror selfie before heading out with friends in a romantic pink silk dress. The brief style featured a midi length for extra coverage. Duff, however, made the whole thing extra cozy with a long thick cardigan in a warm beige tone. The actress’ bohemian-casual ensemble was completed with a light yellow woven Bottle Veneta shoulder bag and gold bangle bracelet.

As far as shoes go, Duff opted for a pair of strappy sandals with an on-trend twist. The “Cheaper By the Dozen” actress’ shoes featured a thin toe and crossover straps at the front. The square soles made the pair more elegant, which have become a major sandal trend in the warmer months since 2020. Although her heels were not visible, Duff’s pair likely included block heels or stilettos 3 to 4 inches.

Square-toe sandals like Duff’s offer a whimsical yet pointed take on the casual heeled sandal, perfect for elevating a day or evening look. Similar new pairs have emerged from a range of brands including Vince Camuto, Chelsea Paris and Schutz. Besides Duff, stars like Dakota Fanning, Rita Ora and Lorde have also worn Jimmy Choo, Giuseppe Zanotti and Staud block sandals in recent weeks.

Strappy heels are a staple for Duff, who’s worn them on and off duty for years. In March, she even donned a black pointed-toe pair for the premiere of “How I Met Your Father.”

For shoes, Duff’s style oscillates between contemporary and glamorous. The ‘Cinderella Story’ star often wears Jimmy Choo and Prada platform sandals on the red carpet, as well as Aquazzura and Le Silla pointy-toe pumps. Her daytime looks also feature Christian Louboutin, Gucci and Tibi ankle boots. When not on duty, Duff can also be spotted in comfortable mules from brands such as Rejina Pyo and Wandler.
