‘I’m going to need a bigger dress’: James Wood mocks Monica Lewinsky for her Roe v Wade rant

Actor James Wood has hit out at Monica Lewinsky, the former White House intern who also allegedly had an affair with former President Bill Clinton, after appealing to Supreme Court justices to overturn Roe v Wade . The 48-year-old TV personality tweeted: “F**k you roberts. Fuck you Thomas. f**k you alito. f**k you kavanaugh. f**k you gorsuch. fuck you coney barrett.

Lewinsky’s tweet apparently didn’t sit well with Wood when he replied, “You’re gonna need a bigger dress.” Additionally, before poking fun at Lewinsky, the ‘Once Upon a Time in America’ star backed the judgment and shared, “Today’s court ruling was not about the ‘right to choose.’ of a woman nor the sanctity of prenatal life. It was about undoing the previous political excesses of an activist liberal court. Decisions about abortion will now rightfully be left to the states to legislate. Or not.”

“Today’s Supreme Court decision, stemming from left-wing hysteria, is a momentous decision for states’ rights. Again, the foresight of our founders is seen as an enduring marvel. Two centuries ago they knew that bloated government equaled monarchy,” Wood added.

Meanwhile, not everyone felt the same way as Woods when one user tweeted: “Everyone who has voted for a Republican in the past 1-2 decades shares responsibility for today’s SCOTUS decision. ” The second user said: “This is also for everyone who voted for Trump. His presidency allowed for this conservative majority in the courts as well as unqualified judges.

“I’m sitting at work fuming. I don’t know what to do with this anger – I’m going to law school right now and if I don’t fucking do anything else I’ll be fighting for women’s rights. I live in TN and all I can think of are women who are in need and can no longer control their own bodies…” noted the third.

Another person wrote, “Isn’t it mind-boggling that they’ve decided gun rights are a basic freedom and a woman’s right to her own body isn’t?” The case, if you read the decision, is not about the life or rights of the fetus. It’s all about women’s rights. Brilliant dissent.

Another added: “It’s so divisive and everyone is angry (even for some reason pro-lifers). Personally I think our country has turned back time 50 years. We can and need to do better. It all starts with going to vote…before that gets taken down as well.

All of these reactions came after Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito said on Friday, June 24, “We believe that Roe and Casey should be quashed. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which Roe and Casey’s defenders now primarily rely – the Due Process Clause of the fourteenth amendment.

He added: “This provision has been deemed to guarantee certain rights which are not mentioned in the Constitution, but any such right must be ‘deeply rooted in the history and tradition of this nation’ and ‘implicit in the concept of ordered freedom”. It is time to respect the Constitution and return the question of abortion to the elected representatives of the people.
