Local woman launches clothing line during pandemic | New
HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB / WSHM) – A local woman has launched her own clothing line amid the pandemic.
Many think opening a business during a pandemic is risky, but Kristina Quesnel does not.
Instead, she realized that life is too shot down to put her dreams on hold.
“If not now, when did I go,” said Kristina Quensel.
She decided to launch her own clothing line and offer it to a local salon. This is how azura clothing was born. His line can be found at Plan Salon in Holyoke.
“It helps to see and feel the quality and know the sizes are true,” Quensel said.
We spoke with The Plan Holyoke co-owner – Tiffany Dushene, who said Azura Apparel’s presence at the show has been positive for both her own business and customers.
“I think with a lot of stores closing now people love to have her selection here and it changes seasonally and she has a lot of everyday clothes and she sells out almost every week, it’s great that we love it, ”Dushene said.
Dushene told us that she hopes their merger inspires other local businesses to come together and encourage each other to be successful.
“My generation entering the industry always wanted to not coincide with anyone and like to keep it alone, we would like to feature even more local businesses,” Dushene explained.
Azura Apparel is aimed at active women, which is why you can also buy the brand online.
Kristina even delivers local purchases herself, making it easier for working customers.
“So what I’m doing is free shipping for local delivery and it’s anywhere within a 40 mile radius,” Quensel explained.
As an active woman herself, Quesnel said she loved being able to show her daughters the reward of following your passion, no matter what the challenge.
“It’s chaotic, it’s fun, it’s exciting, it’s stressful and I love every second,” Quensel said.
