Popular Minneapolis clothing store closed in June | Kristen Walter
Shoppers in Minneapolis will have one less clothing store to shop as another popular fashion brand closes its doors for good.
Urban Outfitters has just announced the closure of its store at 3006 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis. According to local reports, the store is expected to close permanently at the end of the day on June 20, 2022.
The Urban Outfitters brand offers stylish clothing for men and women. It also offers trendy accessories, beauty products and home products. Urban Outfitters stores often carry a mix of curated products, some designed in-house and others from brands that share the company’s lifestyle and cultural aesthetic.
Once the Uptown Urban Outfitters store closes next month, only three stores will remain open in Minnesota. Customers can still shop at physical Urban Outfitters stores located at Mall of America in Bloomington, Ridgedale Center Mall in Minnetonka and Rosedale Center in Roseville.
According to local reports, the store location was listed for sale or lease more than two years ago. Several other national brands have left the Uptown shopping district in recent years, including Apple, North Face and Columbia.
It’s not yet known if another store plans to take over the Urban Outfitters site in Uptown once the store closes next month. However, several new restaurants have opened in the area, including Uptown Diner, Sooki & Mimi, and Ann Kim’s Restaurant.
