TULSA, Oklahoma. – The Salvation Army hosted its 69th annual Women’s Auxiliary Luncheon and Fashion Show at the Renaissance Hotel in southern Tulsa.

Dr. Kim Falcon, Director of Development, The Salvation Army, said, “This is a pretty big piece of the puzzle that makes all of our social services work. “

Fundraising brings in around $ 175,000 to $ 220,000 each year and the money goes to all of its programs that are not part of the organization’s operating expenses.

These programs range from buying supplies for disaster relief, helping men in their rehabilitation programs to buying gifts for their children during the holiday season, and to their emergency homeless shelter. .

The Tulsa Area Salvation Army serves 30,000 to 33,000 people each year and Dr Falcon says “The Tulsa Female Auxiliary does amazing things because the funds raised go to these little extras for our program” .
