Satin & Lace Bridal Boutique Owners Celebrate 35 Years of Marriage

New brides will be inspired by owners of Satin & Lace Bridal Boutique, Peter and Alison Farnan, as the couple celebrate 35 years of marriage.

Buying a wedding dress tops the list of important days in a woman’s life. At Satin & Lace Bridal Boutique, guests are treated like royalty with private appointments, a dedicated bridal consultant, and a champagne toast when the bride says yes to the perfect dress.

The owners of Satin & Lace Bridal Boutique, Alison and Peter Farnan, are a true testament to the institution of marriage as the couple celebrate 35 years of marriage and seek to help other couples plan their important day.

“Our mission from the beginning has been to create an exceptional experience for brides as they search for the perfect dress for their wedding day,” Peter said, noting the company’s tagline: “The experience that bride and groom deserve”.

Selections are available from mainstream designers like Justin Alexander, as well as his own label, The London Collection. The Amelia Page collection, named after the Farnans’ first grandchild, is due out in August. The prices of the dresses range from $1,200 to $2,500.

“We’re appointment only and that’s so every bride and her party can have a private date,” Alison said. She added that there were two large bridal suites and the bride was offered a bridal walk to music of her choice.

“We celebrate this ‘She Said Yes’ moment with a toast to complete the experience,” Peter said.

While the spotlight is on the bride, Satin & Lace Bridal Boutique recently partnered with Jim’s Formal Wear, the nation’s largest supplier of formal wear for men, to offer its suits, tuxedos and accessories for rental or purchase.

“There are so many exciting developments in our boutique, but the most exciting experience for us is always hearing a bride say yes to her perfect dress,” Peter commented.

Asked how to make a marriage last, after 35 years together, Peter and Alison agreed that honesty and communication are necessities. “Be prepared to compromise and support each other to realize not only your shared ambitions, but also your individual dreams,” advised Peter.
